Wish List

You can support the animals of the San Francisco SPCA through tax-deductible in-kind donations.  We have an ongoing need for towels, blankets, new pet toys, natural chewies, kennels, crates, leashes, and other practical goods.

Please note: due to storage and safety, we are unable to accept the following:

  • Open bagged pet food (unopened bags will go to clients in need, feral cat colony volunteers & our friends at Vet SOS)
  • Medications or prescription items
  • Pillows of any kind

Special Need

Our Adoptions Department is wishing for a low to mid mileage Nissan NV200 Cargo Minivan for delivery of pets and emergency medicines for the animals at our two campuses.

Immediate Need Items

  • Baby Food - we use Gerber 2nd Foods: Chicken, Turkey and Beechnut for weaning kittens.
  • Bath- and beach-sized Towels
  • Flannel and fleece blankets
  • Pet beds
  • Unopened bags and cans of cat or dog food
  • Dawn dishwashing liquid
  • Facial tissue
  • Front-attachment dog harnesses, all sizes


Animal Assisted Therapy Programs

  • Washcloths
  • Medium-large sized towels
  • XL sized towels
  • Large, clean, and flat bed sheets (no fitted sheets, please!). Full or queen-sized sheets in a non-white, cotton(blend) are ideal, but we are open to lighter colors, other fabrics, and larger sizes of sheets so long as none of the sheets are fitted
  • New Ziploc bags (quart size and gallon size)
  • Clean and new or gently used kongs and puzzle toys in smallmediumand large
  • Unopened high-quality training treats (Natural Balance, Zukes, etc.)
  • Extra large dog beds in good condition (may be circular or rectangular)
  • Children's books: preschool to grade 3, in which a majority range in age from 3 to 9. Books must be in good condition, we accept board books, paperbacks, and chapter books in English, Spanish, Russian, Japanese, Italian, Chinese languages, Tagalog, or others

When you donate your items, and designate SF SPCA (#63) as the beneficiary, we receive a portion of the sales price.
